About Wildlife/savannah game drive safaris

For a small country, Uganda packs a lot and offers excellent wildlife/savannah game watching. Add to that the welcoming locals and the tapestry of landscapes and forms, golden sunsets/sunrises, river cruises and more that all add to making Uganda an understated safari destination.

Validation has always been made by many who have made a Uganda safari after they have been blown away by how beautiful the country is!

In terms of wildlife/savannah game safaris, the Big Five is the major draw and when you visit Murchison Falls National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park and see them, you will realise that nature – diverse and resplendent – looms large in Uganda.

For Rwanda, Akagera National Park – located in the east of the country is the only savannah game park where visitors can go on classic game drives. Given Rwanda’s past, Akagera is a nature reserve that has been re-born.

Its restoration means that today, visitors can see the iconic “Big Five” – buffaloes, leopards, elephants, lions, and rhinos. Additionally, one can spot a lot of other savannah animals like hippos, giraffes, zebras, and various species of monkeys, to name a few.
